Dennis Thompson has, unfortunately, passed away
[edit]This article I found says that Dennis Thompson died while recovering from a heart attack. https://www.freep.com/story/entertainment/music/brian-mccollum/2024/05/09/dennis-thompson-mc5-drummer- obituary/73629138007/ Easyrider77 (talk) 20:16, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
Living Theatre Sound Track
[edit]In 1969, while in New York City, my street Street Theatre family and I, sat in at a recording studio of the MC5 recording the soundtrack for the Living Theater's play "Frankenstein". They projected the movie on the wall of the studio as the band improvised the soundtrack. Arneleo18 (talk) 19:13, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
I heard the MC5 play
[edit]... on the evening of 22 November 1969 at Michigan State University at an amphitheater-shaped venue (probably MSU’s Red Cedar amphitheater). It was a hard-rock "wall of noise" performance and (of course) included "Kick Out the Jams, MF-ers!" Personally, I thought they sucked, and apparently so did more than half the audience, who walked out early on while a group of faithful head-banger band followers danced wildly in front of the stage.
