Addition to the In Education section

Hi @Pbary psych: what you've added is very short and would benefit from properly spelling out so a lay reader can understand it. Can you give an example of how attributions made by teachers can affect their behaviour towards students? MartinPoulter (talk) 21:45, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a Wikipedia page relating to culture bias that can be added to this page to connect the two ideas even more? -Accountname43 (talk) 00:08, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In Sport & Exercise Section

[edit]

Possibly look further into the connection of attribution and sports rather than just stating that it is used in sports. Knucklecracker7 (talk) 01:25, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement on this Article

[edit]

I believe that adding some images to this article may be helpful when talking about models and diagrams of past psychologists and their discoveries. I also think adding more secondary sources will be very useful for this article and to keep it from being biased in any way.JJensen2002 (talk) 04:29, 26 September 2023 (UTC) JJensen2002 (talk) 04:29, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review Spring 2025

[edit]

Hello! I'm from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, and I'm reviewing this page as an assignment.

First, I wanted to mention that I like how much information there is about each founder of the theory. I think it's important to highlight the contribution of each person, and that is displayed very well in the article. I also really enjoyed reading the Application Section. It was very helpful to see how the theory is used under different circumstances and in different fields of work.

One suggestion I have is to add a little more information about the Cognitive Dissonance Theory. That section seems quite short. Maybe add some information and background about its founder, and what effect it has on the Attribution Theory. I'll provide an article about the founder, Leon Festinger.

Also, is it possible that there has been more recent research about the criticism of this theory? I like that the section was included, so I am simply curious if any other research has been done to prove/disprove those criticisms.

Here's that article about Leon Festinger - it's a great read and I think it will help fill that gap:
